Surya Namaskar Yajna (SNY) 2022

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) Germany together with the Embassy of India, Berlin and the Consulate General of India in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Münich hereby announces the annual Yogathon: “Surya Namaskar Yajna (SNY)” from January 14th, 2022 (Makar Sankranti) till February 7th, 2022 (Ratha Saptami).

This 25-day event aims to create awareness about Yoga and its advantages in achieving a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Surya Namaskar, meaning Sun Salutation, has been practiced in Bharat for thousands of years. It integrates simple Yogasanas (Yoga postures) in 10-steps that, along with easy breathing technique, can provide immense health benefits to both the body and the mind.

Hence let us come together to benefit from this ancient fitness technique and let us aim towards a collective target of ‘75000 Suryanamaskars’ across Germany to commemorate the ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ – the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence, which makes this year a special year indeed.
